Join us for great music, lively dance and exciting theatre! The Ferndale Repertory Theatre presents the groundbreaking musical Oklahoma! This piece of American musical theatre history is still one of the best-loved musicals of all time and was voted by the New York Drama League as the "Best Musical of the 20th Century." Preview performance is Thursday, August 5 at 8:00p.m. All tickets for the Preview performance are $10. Oklahoma! Gala performance is Friday, August 6 at 8:00p.m. A reception for gallery artists, Bruce and Lois Keller, precedes the performance in the Art From the Hart gallery in the theatre's Box Office at 6:30pm until performance time. Shows continue Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm through September 3. Our last show is Saturday, September 4 at 2:00pm. Ticket price is $15. Featuring such classic musical numbers as Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin, People Will Say We're In Love, The Surrey With the Fringe On Top and the title song, OKLAHOMA! was Rodgers & Hammerstein's first collaboration and remains, in many ways, their most innovative, having set the standards for modern musical theatre. Set in the territory of Oklahoma at the turn of the century, against a background of the rivalry between cattlemen and farmers, OKLAHOMA! is the story of the farm girl Laurey and the two rivals for her affection: the cowboy Curly and the brooding farmhand, Jud. Director, Elisa Woodruff, Musical Director, Justin Ross, and Choreographer, Loene Gossett, have assembled a dynamic and talented cast. In the principle roles are: Gavin Donnellan, Andy Rix, Leo Roehrich, Kalindi Rogers, Laureen Tipple, Willi Welton, and Brandon Williams. Supporting cast members include: Mitchell Boers, Catherine Boers, Destiny Chiantelli, Bryen Gamlin, Mariah Nimmich, Steven Robinson, Shaelan Salas, Jessi Shieman, Lewis Sterback, Steve Sterback, Rebecca Todtman, Danielle Venton, Michael Woods, Kelsey Wortman, and Joan Zoellner. Design credits include: Daniel L. Lawrence (set), Jessie Talbert (lights), Vikki Young (costume), Gabriel Groom (sound), Bruce Keller (scenic art & poster design), Nanette Voss (vocal coach), Emily Martinez (production assistant), Jasper Anderton (fight choreographer), and Loreen Harper (properties). Stage Management is in the capable hands of Lori Tipple. The band, under the direction of Justin Ross at the keyboards, is Jessica Barker on bass, Elizabeth Olson on Clarinet, and Easten Stuard on flute and piccolo.
