The Ferndale Repertory Theatre's holiday gift is the Charles Dickens' classic tale, A Christmas Carol, adapted by Michael Paller. A Christmas Carol opens on Friday, November 28 at 8:00pm. All tickets are $5.00. It continues its run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 8:00 and every Sunday at 2:00pm through December 21. There will be one Saturday matinee, NO EVENING SHOW, December 20, at 2:00pm. Tickets are $12.00 General admission and $10 Student/Senior admission. Call 786-5483 for more information and ticket reservations.

Dickens' story of the redemption of a human soul is brought to life at the Rep with a new twist. Michael Paller's version faithfully preserves the story's magic, while telling the story at Dickens' home on Christmas Eve, 1843. Gathered for a festive holiday party, his friends and family badger him for a story for their entertainment. Dickens has another idea! If there is going to be a story, let them each take part in the telling. And so the spirited tale unfolds itself in a whole new way.

The inventive cast of ten, playing over 40 roles, includes: Edward Olson (Dickens),Willi Welton (Catherine Dickens), Ben Dens (Fredrick Dickens), Kelsey Wortman (Child), Jamie Budiana (Charley Dickens), J.R. Patterson (John Forster), Brian Wells (Clarkson Stanfield), Caitlin Conners (Helen Hogarth), Molly Dove Mande (Mrs. Stanfield), and Steve Sterback (Mark Lemon). Director, Marilyn Foote, has assembled a talented design team including: Joe Collins, set and sound design, Tim Moore, light design, Beth Lanzi, costume design, and Katie Mazie, stage management.

The reclamation of Scrooge is one of the most marvelous in all literature. Transformed from an unsympathetic loner and miser who hated Christmas, Scrooge ends up "as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man as the city ever knew, who kept alive the spirit of Christmas." Discover the "Spirit of Christmas" at the Rep's production. Call 786-5483 for tickets and information.
