Ira Levin, author of Rosemary's Baby, The Stepford Wives and The Boy's From Brazil, has written an engrossing puzzle and suspenseful nail biter. A hugely popular stage and screen success, this ingeniously constructed play offers a rare and skillful blending of two priceless theatrical ingredients -- gasp-inducing thrills and spontaneous laughter. This is both a compelling examination of jealousy, revenge and artistic rivalry and a drama of dazzling wit and humor.

Sidney Bruhl needs a killer idea. Once the toast of Broadway, his plays were masterpieces of the murder genre, but it has been years since his last hit. When unknown playwright Clifford Anderson mails Bruhl a script to die for, the desperate writer sees a lethal opportunity. This perfect plot is about to bend, to spiral, to spin totally out of control. And in Sidney Bruhl's isolated Connecticut home, enjoyable fatal fiction will become shockingly fatal fact.

Director, Gene Cole, has assembled a wonderful cast: Gene Cole portrays Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer struggling to overcome a dry spell. Maureen Catalina plays the playwright's wife and his biggest fan. Jonathon Moveno is Clifford Anderson, a budding playwright who works in an urban welfare office. Popular actress Willi Welton, plays the quirky Helga Ten Dorp, a Dutch psychic visiting America and living in a neighbor's cottage near the Bruhls, and Ted Lichti is cast as Porter Milgrim, the Bruhl family attorney. Design credits go to Daniel L. Lawrence (set design), David West (light design), Vicki Charlton (stage management/costume design), and Gabriel Groom (sound design).

The suspense mounts steadily; the plot twists and turns with devilish cleverness, and with such an abundance of thrills and laughter, that audiences will be held enthralled until the final, startling moments of the play. For information and reservations, please call (707) 786-5483.
