The Rocky Horror Show - with music, lyrics and book by Richard O'Brien - opened in London in 1973. It played Broadway's Belasco Theatre from March 10, 1975 through April 5, 1975, with a cast led by Tim Curry, Jamie Donnelly and Meat Loaf. The 1975 film also cast Curry as Frank-N-Furter opposite Susan Sarandon's Janet Weiss and Barry Bostwick's Brad Majors. The Tony-nominated revival at New York's Circle in the Square Theatre boasted a cast that comprised Dick Cavett, Lea DeLaria, Jarrod Emick, Tom Hewitt, Joan Jett, Alice Ripley, Daphne Rubin Vega, Raúl Esparza, Sebastian LaCause and Kevin Cahoon.

The Rocky Horror Show takes place on a dark and stormy night in the 1950s, where super-square Brad Majors and his amazingly innocent fiancée Janet Weiss seek refuge in a mysterious castle - and thus their adventures begin. They try desperately to survive the diabolical Riff-Raff, his incestuously fashionable sister Magenta, her rock' n' rollin' best friend Columbia, her dangerous biker boyfriend Eddie, a lot of Transylvanians and the sweet transvestite Dr. Frank N. Furter- a man determined to change their lives forever. When Brad and Janet learn of the doctor's wild experiments and his plans for them, it takes the intervention of the strange wheelchair-bound Dr. Scott to save them from ultimate destruction!

The cast for the Rep's production is as follows: Jasper Anderton will play Frank N. Furter, Laureen Savage is cast as the ingénue Janet Weiss, Hans Crynock will play her intended, Brad Majors, Bob Beideman plays butler Riff Raff, while Denise Ryles plays Magenta, his sister. Silas Knight will play the role of Rocky, Frank's creature; Vincent Farrar is cast as ex-delivery boy Eddie and scientist Dr. Scott, and Genay LeBeuf will appear as Columbia, Eddie's girlfriend. Marianne Nix is the omni-present Narrator. An ensemble featuring five will appear as the Phantoms to complete the company for this musical; they are Christina Fritschi, Mendie Irvin, Shannan Dailey, Theresa Ireland, and Ginger Howard.

Tom Phillips directs the production with choreography by Loene Gossett. The creative team will also include Padraig MacRauiri (set/costume/production design), Matt Pavey (lighting design), Dillon Savage (sound design), Dianne Zuleger (musical direction) and Nanette Voss (vocal coach). Andrea Baker, Christine Brockway, and Denise Ryles contribute costume assistance and construction.

We wish to thank our generous sponsors for this production: Don Brown, State Farm Insurance of Fortuna and LPL Financial Services, Ken Houldsworth, CFP.

The Rocky Horror Show is a bizarre conglomerate of the most stereotypical science fiction movies, horror movies, and 60s rock-n-roll era. It's musical comedy. It's sci-fi. It's a transvestite circus! We invite you to dress up, leave your manners at the door and sing along! This show has a PG17 rating. For information and tickets, please contact our box office at (707) 786-5483.
